Caroline Josey Karoki
Director | Producer
Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, Caroline believes everyone has a story. Many moons ago, she was introduced to film in Atlanta, Georgia, where she assisted in a short film. Intrigued and curious about the craft of filmmaking and having no knowledge or industry connections, Caroline decided to return to school and obtained an M.F.A. in film. She has since freelanced in various roles on reality T.V. shows and studio films and worked full-time in corporate media production while independently developing her projects. As an indie filmmaker, Caroline has produced scripted and unscripted short projects and music videos. Her first documentary feature film, The Price of Hope, will be released in 2023.
In 2019 she founded Tusk Arts Center, an organization that produces unscripted films and provides hands-on basic creative skills. Tusk's nonfictional films feature underserved communities, overlooked subjects, and extraordinary individuals. The Price of Hope is the organization's pilot project.
Amanda Kulkoski
Cinematographer | Producer
Amanda Kulkoski joined the Film faculty at the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2009. She currently serves as a Graduate Coordinator and teaches classes in cinematography. Hailing from Green Bay, Wisconsin, Amanda got her start in the industry working for Wisconsin Public Broadcasting , as well as covering college and professional sporting events for ABC Sports, FOX Sports and CBS Sports. Her work has since expanded to include both Feature documentary and narrative films and a variety of television series. Amanda’s passion for filmmaking revolves around camerawork and lighting design. Her credits include such films as "Magic Mike XXL," "Dirty Grandpa," and "No God, No Master." Amanda recently made her directorial debut with a documentary feature, “Through the Windmill,” about the world of miniature golf. She is currently screening this award-winning film at film festivals across the country.
Alex Newton
Editor | Producer
Alex Newton is an editor and director living in Savannah Georgia, raised in Pennsylvania of Catalan and Texan descent. He has worked in independent film distribution for Cinetic, Cinedigm, Studio Ghibli, Rooster Teeth, and Drafthouse Films, and has served as a freelance editor for clients including Digitas, Vice, and The New York Times. His features and short films have played at festivals that include Savannah, Orlando, New Haven, Breckenridge, HollyShorts, IndieGrits, and the Art Monastery Of Italy, and have been featured on such sites as Cinephilia And Beyond and Directors Notes. He has been published by the monthly film magazine Bright Wall/Dark Room. Alex is a Professor of Film and Television at the Savannah College Of Art And Design.
Neena Page Ramsey
Producer
Neena Page Ramsey was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina. As the daughter of a musician and a playwright, Neena’s fascination with the arts came easy. She received her B.A., in Film and Television Production from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. After graduation, she briefly worked as a professional videographer before deciding to pursue her passion for screenwriting. This decision led her to pursue a M.F.A. in Dramatic Writing from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). While at SCAD, Neena met Caroline Karoki and Amanda Kulkoski. Later, she worked with Caroline on her film, Amnesty, as the co-writer. SCAD awarded Neena with the Outstanding Achievement award, and nominated her thesis script, Reigning Men for a SCAD Emmy Award.
Neena has always held a strong interest in documentary films. She has attended several classes at Duke University’s Center for Documentary Studies, and volunteered with the Full Frame Documentary Festival.
Neena recently worked on the films, Boss Level, and Lady and the Tramp.
Teddy Mitchener
Photographer | Videographer
Teddy Mitchener is the head photographer at House of Fotography, based in Nairobi Kenya. A Washington DC native, Teddy is a self-taught photographer, having picked up his first camera in 1992 under the tutelage of his father, Willie Brown. A fully fledged professional photographer, Teddy earns his living in Kenya primarily as a commercial photographer in the advertising industry and on private commissions.

Kwame Nyong'o
Sequential Art Director
Kwame Nyong'o tells fresh stories from the Africa that is often not shown through his picture books and animated films. He is known for short films such as "The Wonderful Story of Aisha, Ali ans Flipflopi the Multicoloured Dhow" in competition at Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2021, as well as "The Legend of Lwanda Magere" and "The Legend of Ngong Hills".
Kwame's children's books "A Tasty Maandazi", "I Love Ugali and Sukuma Wiki" and "The Yummiest Githeri" show positive images of contemporary Africa using food as medium for intercultural exchange. In 2017 and 2018 Kwame was on the team that won several awards at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in France for "The World's Most Eligible Bachelor", a campaign supporting northern White Rhino conservation in Kenya.

Calvin Bellas
Colorist
Calvin is a Colorist based out of New York City working independently on commercials, music videos, short films, and documentaries.
Calvin was drawn to color while studying cinematography at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where he got his bachelor's in Film and Television.
An Immigrant to the US by way of Trinidad and Tobago, Calvin loves drawing from the richness of his Caribbean culture for inspiration within life and his work.
